Investor FAQs

What is the technology stack behind Sauti Care?

Sauti Care uses Wav2Vec2.0 for speech recognition, Multilingual BERT for NLP, Random Forest for triage algorithms, and XGBoost for fraud detection. All models are optimized for edge deployment with sub-200ms latency.

What is the current traction and user base?

We are in pilot phase with partnerships signed at 8 facilities (3 Level 4 hospitals, 2 dispensaries, 3 private hospitals). MVP achieved 90% healthcare worker adoption in initial pilots. Ready for Series A scaling.

What is the path to profitability?

Break-even projected at Month 18 post-launch with conservative unit economics (Sh40 per triage vs Sh150 traditional cost). Scaling to 25 facilities reaches Sh100M annual revenue by Year 2. Sh1.2B+ revenue by Year 5.

Who are your competitors?

Main competitors are paper-based triage, basic digital forms, and international telemedicine platforms (which lack local language support). Sauti Care's voice-first + fraud detection + African focus is unique in the market.

What is the regulatory status?

We have ethics approval from KEMRI/KNH, protocols endorsed by Kenya Medical Association, and are pursuing ISO 27001 certification. Kenya Pharmacy and Poisons Board assessment underway. Compliant with Kenya Data Protection Act 2019.

How do you handle data privacy in rural areas with poor connectivity?

We use edge computing—patient data stays on local devices and syncs securely when connection available. Voice recordings can be processed offline. All data is AES-256 encrypted. Never stored unencrypted.

What is the investment ask and use of funds?

Series A: Sh50-150M for 5-10% equity. Use of funds: 40% product development (new languages, chest X-ray integration), 35% sales & expansion, 15% team hiring, 10% ops/infrastructure. 18-month break-even.

How do you ensure AI fairness and prevent bias?

Monthly bias audits, 50% female voice training data, representative sampling across age/geography/ethnicity, external ethics reviews quarterly, maintained human override capability, monthly transparency reports.
